Boy Scouts/Cub Scouts
Parkersburg shares a Cub Scout Pack with the neighboring community of Aplington.
Aplington Pack 88 consists of 16 scouts from both communities.
Cub Scouts reinforce the ideals important to the area – Self, Community, Country and God. Leaders in Pack 88 believe in a strong emphasis on community projects. To reinforce that ideal, Aplington Pack 88 sponsors food and clothing drives for both communities, sing carols at the local nursing home and give Easter baskets to shut ins.
For other activities, annually we participate in a physical fitness challenge, pine wood derby, rain gutter regatta as well as outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and an annual bonfire.
Dens meet approximately monthly with Pack meetings held once a month. Cubbies are eligible for a variety of summer camp opportunities through the Winnebago Council. \r\n
