BUSINESS
Façade Loan Program - created by Parkersburg Economic Development in 1999 as a means to provide a low interest loan to Main Street businesses for the renovation of their storefronts. Click for Application and Information
Tax Increment Financing - A TIF district has been established in Parkersburg since 1993. It has been amended several times over the years and includes the downtown area, the Industrial park and several new residential areas. TIF requests require a business and/or marketing plan and are determined, in general, on the increase in tax base after the project. Small Business Revolving Loan Fund - this RLF is funded by TIF funds and was created to help small businesses start-up in Parkersburg. Click for Application and Information
RESIDENTIAL
HOMEOWNER
Rebate Program - was created to stimulate new construction of homes in the Parkersburg area. Newly constructed homes will qualify for a rebate of taxes over a 5-year period. Click for Application and Information
Housing Rehab Program - Parkersburg received a grant of $423,000 to assist current homeowners in needed repairs to their houses. This is the second grant in 4 years Parkersburg has received. Parkersburg has assisted 11 homeowners and will do 12 more with this grant. Click for Agreement. Contact Parkersburg Economic Development Director for more information.
DEVELOPER
Parkersburg has established a Revolving Loan Fund for gap financing in new residential infrastructure projects. Parkersburg has also used to TIF funds to assist developers in infrastructure projects. Contact Parkersburg Economic Development Director for more information.
REGIONAL PROGRAMS
Butler County has two revolving loan funds Parkersburg businesses can use -
one for Industry and one for small business.

Butler County has an Emergency Repair Program administered by the Iowa Northland Regional Council of Governments. This program will provide up to $5000.00 for emergency repairs to homes in unincorporated areas of Butler County. Contact Parkersburg Economic Development Director for more details.
