In January 2003, Parkersburg Economic Development launched its new website. After reviewing our needs as well as other website content, PED decided www.parkersburgiowa.info could be a website valuable to existing residents and businesses, new residents and businesses as well as visitors. Current events, city information, church news, school news, building permits, economic and community development information are just a few items found at www.parkersburgiowa.info .

Home Show

Parkersburg continues to teamed up with the neighboring community of Aplington and Butler County to showcase our communities to visitors to the Eastern Iowa Home Show held in February each year at the Sullivan Brothers Convention Center in downtown Waterloo.

Press Releases

A goal of one news release monthly to the surrounding metro areas. News releases will be of community/economic development news as well as upcoming special events.

Business Appreciation Dinner

Parkersburg Economic Development staff attempts to hold on the first Friday in December, a meal for the local businesses and invited guests in appreciation for the past year's support.

Coffee Break

Held annually in conjunction with Downtown Week in August, Parkersburg Economic Development hosts a coffee/refreshment break to local residents and businesses.

Table tent/Flyer advertising

Marketing efforts done bi-annually for Fun Days events held in August and Christmas activities in December. Table tents and flyers handed out to local restaurants and sent home through the local schools.
