Purchased in the early 1990's Parkersburg Economic Development began looking to the future by securing land they could easily develop for commercial and industrial businesses.

Iowa State Bank received Lot 1 (approximately 2 acres) to build a new bank. Iowa State Bank expanding into Parkesburg in May of 2002. They have been operating in a temporary facility since then. The opening of the 4000(+) square foot new facility was in the Spring of 2003.

In the Summer of 2002, Parkersburg received a RISE grant to assist in the cost of infrastructure for the park. In the Spring of 2003, roadways and water will be put in. This will open an additional 7 lots.

In 2006, the Parkersburg Emergency Services and Fire Department began construction of new facilities on Lot # 5.
